and latest information on our response to Coronavirus 19

The Catholic Bishops of Scotland have announced that, due to the health threat of the COVID-19 virus, the public celebration of Mass, and all group prayer services, will be suspended beginning on Friday 20th March for the foreseeable future.

Following Prime Minister’s recently introduced measures at curtailing the spread of coronavirus disease, and directive from the Archdiocese, I regret to communicate to all that our parish church of St Martin of Tours will no longer open for private prayers and visits to the Blessed Sacrament effective from today Tuesday 24th March 2020 until further notice.
However, please note the following:
  • The Parish Priest will continue offer daily masses for the intention of all the parishioners.
  • If you have any pastoral need that demands the attention of the Parish Priest, you can always reach him through these numbers:
There is no doubt that this is one of the most challenging times in recent memory, but let us be united in prayers seeking God’s assistance for the strength and courage to navigate safely this great turbulence. The wisdom of the ancients has it that, whatever has a nature to go up, has the same nature to come down, for nothing indeed in this life lasts forever, neither good nor evil. The darkest hour is always nearest the dawn.
