Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Meeting
The meeting of the PPC comes up on 12th August 2019 at 7.00pm in the Chapel House. New members welcome.
 
The Flourish (August Edition)
The August edition of The Flourish, the Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
 
R.I.P.
Our parish community once extend our sympathy and the support of our prayers to the family members and friends of Helen Boyle (Harrison Place) whose funeral and committal took place last Thursday. May she rest in peace.
 
Altar Servers Summer Outing
To thank our altar servers for their hard word and dedication over the past year we have arranged a summer outing for them to Glasgow Science Centre and the Riverside Museum on Tuesday 13th August. We will leave from St Martin’s after 9.30am Mass for the train to Glasgow. We thank God for their service and pray that He will continue to inspire and motivate our young people in lives of service to the Church and witness to His Love.
 
St Martin’s Youth Group
We would like to invite existing members of the youth group to start back on Sunday 18th August at 4pm until 7pm. New P6 members will receive a letter on returning to school and are invited to come along on Sunday 15th September at 4pm. Parents of new P6s are also invited along that evening to find out more about the youth group and enrol their child for the Pope Francis Faith Award.
 
National Youth Pilgrimage
St Martin’s Youth Group have been invited to the National Youth Pilgrimage in St Andrew’s on 31st August. All members of the Youth Group in P7 or above are invited to attend. We will travel by car leaving St Martin’s at 8.30am. The Pilgrimage starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm with us returning home around 6pm. All families will be contacted with arrangements.
