Parish Finance
Many thanks once again to all parishioners for your continuous financial help to the Parish and to the Archdiocese. Please remember to return the Wee boxes for St Nicholas Care Fund to the Sacristy as soon as you can.
Quarterly Collection
Christmas Quarterly collection (given towards the upkeep and education of those preparing for priesthood in Scotland) is now due. Envelopes are in the porch.
St Margaret’s Adoption Society: Annual Crib Appeal 2018
As we know this is the only United Kingdom Catholic Adoption Society and the money raised through the boxes and crib donations are vital for the solvency of the running of the Society. Apart from the crib donations, you may wish to help more by taking one of the boxes in the porch and returning later.
St Martin’s Lourdes Draw (December 2018)
The following were the winners of the December Draw: Margaret McCallion, no. 69 and Clare Gianini, no.161. Many congratulations!

EPIPHANY
Epiphany means ‘Revelation’ and is a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God incarnate of Jesus Christ. The feast commemorates principally the visit, to the Christ Child, by the Magi (the three Wise Kings), who brought gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.

NEW YEAR NEW BEGINNING – What Gifts could you bring?
Challenge yourself to be proactive – even try something different
Take a moment to think how you could help the Parish… Here are a few ideas, you may have more.
Prayer – something for everyone - make a pledge to say an extra prayer regularly for the Parish.
Altar Servers – we have a great wee group at present who would love to help new children serve on the altar.
Brass Cleaning – a special area, could always be doing with regular help.
Cleaners – the Church and Hall – more hands make light work.
Eucharistic Ministers – special training will be given.
Flower Arrangers – a rota/flower arranging classes could be set up if more people were interested in helping.
Gardeners – adopt a plot, there are a few areas around the grounds that could benefit from TLC.
Pass Keepers – help with collections etc
Readers – all ages – challenge yourself, it’s always good to hear different voices.
- if you would like to help in any way, please see a member of the PPC.
