New Gift Aid Envelopes for 2017/18
Please collect your new Gift Aid Envelopes from the back of the church. I would like to thank everyone who has signed up for the Gift Aid Scheme, whither using the Envelopes or paying by Direct Debit. Last year we received £2,500.00 back from the Inland Revenue. [This is money for nothing!].
To join the scheme, you need to be a tax payer then we are allowed to claim back 20% of your contributions from taxman. If you would like to find out more see Fr Anthony.
Rite of Children’s Baptism: Important information
About two years ago, Archbishop Tartaglia gave permission for baptism to be administered to children between the ages of1 month to 14years using the Rite for Children’s baptism. What this means is that teenagers under the age of fifteenth are no longer required to do Catechumenate programme before being baptised. For more information on this please contact the Fr Anthony.
May Devotion
The Month of May is a month traditionally devoted to Mary in the Catholic Church. It is always marked by different acts of devotion in honor of our Lady. We are going to mark it our parish with Rosary and Benediction every Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the month. It begins each day with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament—Rosary—Benediction.
First Holy Communion
Our parish Primary 4 schoolchildren will celebrate their first Holy Communion on Sunday 14th May at 10am Mass. Last catechesis class for children in preparation for that Sacrament will be on 13th May in the church from 10.30am—12noon. Please remember these children in your prayers as they journey with us to the Lord’s Table.

RCAG YOUTH’S ‘THE SUMMIT’
Calling All Secondary School Pupils! RCAG Youth alongside various groups in the Archdiocese invite you to “The Summit”. But fear not you don’t need your hiking boots…we aren’t the biggest fans of climbing the mountain either! Jam-packed with exciting talks, workshops, activities, Holy Mass and some decent scran—you’d be crazy to miss it. It’ll take place in Bl. John Duns Scotus R C Church, G5 0YT (just 10 mins walk from Glasgow City Centre) 2—5pm on Sunday 14th May & 11th June. We look forward to seeing you all. All Night Vigil of Reparation and Adoration
To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the 1st Apparition of Our Lady in Fatima, Portugal, on 13th May 1917, St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street. Requiem Mass
There will be a requiem Mass for all the Faithful departed in St Agnes’ Church, Lambhill for all who are buried in St Kentigern’s Cemetery, Western Necropolis Cemetery, Lambhill Cemetery or whose final committal was at the Glasgow Crematorium. Date: Sunday 14th May 2017, at 3.00pm.
