Last weekend’s income was: Offertory Collection: £451.00.00 2nd Collection£235.00 (Building Fund) Many thanks to all parishioners for your continuous financial help to the parish and to the Archdiocese. Our second collection next weekend is taken up in support of Assisted Parishes.
 
Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Meeting
The meeting of the PPC comes up on 12th August 2019 at 7.00pm in the Chapel House. New members welcome.

The August edition of The Flourish, the Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.

We announce the death of Sarah Jane Grace (Johnstone Road). Reception of Remains prior to the funeral Mass at 9.30am on Friday 16th August. Eternal grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine her. May she rest in peace.Amen.
 
St Martin’s Youth Group
We would like to invite existing members of the youth group to start back on Sunday 18th August at 4pm until 7pm. New P6 members will receive a letter on returning to school and are invited to come along on Sunday 15th September at 4pm. Parents of new P6s are also invited along that evening to find out more about the youth group and enrol their child for the Pope Francis Faith Award.
Please note there will be no youth group on Sunday 1st September due to the pilgrimage the day before and the National Pilgrimage at Carfin that day. However, if any of the youth group would like to go to Carfin for the National Pilgrimage with the relics of St Therese then please let Jennifer know as this may be possible depending on numbers.
 
MacMillan and Rachmaninoff at St Andrew’s Cathedral, 196 Clyde Street, Glasgow, G1 4JY
Concert by the National Youth Choir of Scotland on Sunday 25th August at 7pm. Led by Christopher Bell, the choir will perform Sir James MacMillan’s The Culham Motets, following its Scottish Première at the Edinburgh International Festival, as well as ten movements from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil, often called simply Rachmaninoff Vespers. Tickets: adult £12.00; under 26 £5.00 available online from www.nycos.co.uk or on the door.
 
St Joseph’s Milngavie - 40 Hours Adoration 
 Please note that the 40 Hours Adoration, which was to take place in St Joseph’s Milngavie from 25th-27th August, will now take place on Sunday 13th, Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th October.
