Parish Finance
Last weekend’s income was:
Offertory Collection: £529.00 & 2nd Collection: £218. 00. Many thanks for your generosity to the parish and clergy. Highly appreciated. Our second collection this weekend in taken in support of Assisted Parishes of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
 
Mass for Deceased Clergy
The Archbishop will celebrated the annual Mass for deceased Bishops and Clergy on the Archdiocese of Glasgow in Saint Andrew’s Cathedral at 1.00pm on Friday 17th November 2017. All welcome.  
 
The Flourish (November Edition)
Our Parish Pilgrimage Photo is in The November edition of The Flourishthe Archdiocesan newspaper which is now available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
 
Parish Panto – Saturday 9th December 7pm
Rehearsals every Sunday 3pm in the Hall. Tickets will be on sale next weekend.
 
Pope Francis Faith Award – Primary 6&7
Parent /Guardian meeting on 22nd November 7pm in the Hall. This award is designed for children in Primary 6 and 7. Pope Francis says, “Dear young people, do not bury your talents, the gifts that God has given you! Do not be afraid to dream of great things.”.
 
FFC Meeting (Fabric and Finance Council)
There will a meeting of the FFC on the 21st November 2017 at 7pm in the Chapel House
 
Award in Catholic Theological Education
The above course has been going on in the Archdiocese for a couple of years now, and has been completed by eight group of students, and these (students) are always commission for the ministry of Catechist. A new group is to be commissioned on Monday 27th November by the Archbishop at 7pm in St Andrew’s Cathedral. One of our parishioners, JENNIFER GORMAN is among those to be commissioned and our parish is therefore invited is a special way to this ceremony. Big CONGGRATULATIONS to JENNIFER. We pray that all works out fine. All welcome.

SSVP Conference Lunch
The SSVP Conference of St Martin's invites all our older parishioners to a Lunch at Ballagan Garden Centre on Wednesday the 22nd of November at 130 p.m.  If you wish to go please append your name to the list at the back of the Church indicating whether you require transport and choice of meal. Thank You.

Scottish Interfaith Week: November 12th –November 19th
“My wish is that the dialogue between us should help to build bridges connecting all people in such a way that everyone can see in the other not an enemy, not a rival, but a brother or sister to be welcomed and embraced” (Pope Francis). The above statement of the Pontiff underscores the importance of good interfaith relations with our brothers and sisters of other faith. During this time may we pray for the unity of Christians as Jesus himself prayed, “…that they be one as we are one” (Jn 17: 11,22,23).
 
Newman Association
