New Gift Aid Envelopes for 2018/19
Please collect your new Gift Aid Envelopes from the back of the church. I sincerely thank everyone who has signed up for the Gift Aid Scheme, whither using the Envelopes or paying by Direct Debit. Last year we received £2,500 plus (£2.000 from small change donations) from the Inland Revenue.
To join the scheme, you need to be a tax payer then we are allowed to claim back 20% of your contributions from taxman. If you would like to find out more see Fr Anthony.
FFC Meeting
The main topic of discussion was fundraising for the maintenance of our three parish buildings: house, church and hall. In particular we are pursuing quotes for work required on the flat roofs of the church. We discussed a three-year fundraising plan for repair and maintenance: starting with a Race Night on the 13th October.
HALL HELP!
The hall provides a vital source of income which helps pay for maintenance work in the parish. It is important that we keep the hall open and I am therefore appealing for more people to come forward and help. Please speak to Fr Anthony or Margaret McCallion. “Many Hands make Light Work!”.
Cluster Meeting
Our Cluster Meeting comes up on 16th April 2018 at St Martin’s Parish Hall at 7.00pm.
