Offertory Collection £401.00 & 2nd Collection £220.00 Many thanks for your generosity to the parish and clergy. Highly appreciated. This weekend’s (1st & 2nd July) special collection is taken up in support of Assisted Parishes of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
Our Parish Pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy Shrine Krakow - Poland

Beginning Experience
The Beginning Experience are holding a residential weekend for those who find themselves suffering bereavement through divorce, separation or widowhood. Welcome Back from Summer Holidays
We welcome all back from the Summer holidays and thank God for journey mercies and protection granted to those who travelled; and to our children and their teachers we wish a happy new academic year.  
St Martin’s “FUNDAY” Celebrations   
A Great Big THANK YOU! To all those who helped organise, gave donations and supported our “Funday” (on which the sun shone!). We raised the magnificent sum of £1,200.22 which has been split between our school and our church funds.
Painting work begins in the Church
We hope to begin painting the main area of the church this week and apologise in advance for any inconvenience. Monday to Friday we may have to celebrate Mass in the Sacred Heart Chapel. (Hopefully this work will be complete within the week.)
Carfin - Scotland National Shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes
The National Pilgrimage to Carfin on Sunday 3rd September. A coach will leave St Martins at 1pm and return to St Martins 6.45pm approx. There is a list at the back of the church for names based on a first come first serve.
Considering Teaching
There will be an information evening for people considering applying for Initial Teacher Education programmes (Primary School) in St Patrick’s Primary School, 10 Perth Street, Glasgow G3 *UQ on Tuesday 12th September 2016 from 6.30—8.00pm. This even will focus on the application process. Representatives from the University of Glasgow, the Archdiocesan Primary Head Teachers Association (APHTA) Church and Local Authority Church Representatives will be present to discuss the application process, Teacher Approval, etc., and to explain what support is on offer and to answer questions.
Mary’s Meals. Annual Raffle and Rags to Riches. [Cloth Collection— Sunday 25th September 2016].
Mary’s Meals will be in our parish 23rd and 24th September for their annual raffle and rag to riches clothing collection. The van will collect from St Martin’s on Sunday 24th after 10am Mass. Mary’s Meals are only able to collect textiles including rags but not bric-a-brac and are unable to collect in the evening.

The August edition of The Flourishthe Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
