Last weekend’s income was:
Offertory Collection £697.00 & 2nd Collection £325.00 Many thanks for your generosity to the parish and clergy. Highly appreciated. Next Sunday (28th May) is World Communication Day and the second collection will be taken up in support of Apostolate of Communications
 
PPC Meeting.
Our next Parish Pastoral Council Meeting comes up on the 5th June 2017 in the Chapel house at 7.00pm. New members welcome.
 
Our Parish Pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy Shrine Krakow - Poland

New Gift Aid Envelopes for 2017/18
Please collect your new Gift Aid Envelopes from the back of the church. I would like to thank everyone who has signed up for the Gift Aid Scheme, whither using the Envelopes or paying by Direct Debit. Last year we received £3,500.00 back from the Inland Revenue. [This is money for nothing!].
To join the scheme, you need to be a tax payer then we are allowed to claim back 20% of your contributions from taxman. If you would like to find out more see Fr Anthony.
 
Fun Run for SCIAF
Come along and take part in SCIAF’s very first 5k Fun Run!  This will take place on Saturday 24th June at 12 noon in Strathclyde Country Park at the Water Sports Centre.
 
May Devotion
The Month of May is a month traditionally devoted to Mary in the Catholic Church. It is always marked by different acts of devotion in honor of our Lady. We are going to mark it our parish with Rosary and Benediction every Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the month. It begins each day with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament—Rosary—Benediction.
 
Inverclyde Voices in Concert
St Andrew’s Cathedral, Glasgow Saturday 10th June at 7.00pm. Come along and enjoy an evening of song with something for everyone from Mozart to Musicals. Tickets £8 available from the Church and at the door on the night. (under 12s free)
 
The Flourish (May Edition)
The May edition of The Flourishthe Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
 
RCAG YOUTH’S ‘THE SUMMIT’
Calling All Secondary School Pupils! RCAG Youth alongside various groups in the Archdiocese invite you to “The Summit”. But fear not you don’t need your hiking boots…we aren’t the biggest fans of climbing the mountain either! Jam-packed with exciting talks, workshops, activities, Holy Mass and some decent scran—you’d be crazy to miss it. It’ll take place in Bl. John Duns Scotus R C Church, G5 0YT (just 10 mins walk from Glasgow City Centre) 2—5pm on Sunday 14th May & 11th June. AGAP Film and Faith Club
AGAP Film and Faith Club will meet at 1pm for a Matinée and at also 7pm on Thursday 1st June at St Mungo’s Retreat House, next to St Mungo’s’ Church, Townhead, 52 Parson St, G4 0RX. This month’s film is “The Good Pope” (2003), Cert. PG. New members welcome. …Wednesday 14th June at 7.00pm. St Andrew’s Cathedral Clyde Street. Principal Celebrant, Archbishop Tartaglia. All children and young people with Additional Support Needs, their parents, families, carers, teachers and friends are invited to participate.
 
Statement Regarding Monsignor Christopher McElroy.
Mgr. Chris McElroy recently informed the Archbishop of his decision to step down from priestly ministry to allow him to reflect on his future. He left the Cathedral on Friday 19th May. A new Administrator will be appointed as soon as possible. We remember Mgr. McElroy in our prayers that God through the Holy Spirit will enlighten him on the best way forward.
