The February edition of The Flourish, the Archdiocesan newspaper is available. Please collect your copy from the back of the church.
Ash Wednesday
This falls on 26th February 2020 and marks the beginning of the holy season of Lent. There will be two masses for the day—9.30am and 6.00pm— with imposition of ashes.
Stations of the Cross
As part of our observance of the holy season of Lent, Stations of the Cross will be celebrated in our parish on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7.00pm. Our first Stations of the Cross comes up on Friday 28th February
Day of Prayer
Last year the Bishop’s Conference of Scotland established an annual Day of Prayer for those who suffered abuse. It is marked each year on Friday following Ash Wednesday. It falls this year on 28th February. This day allows the Church to renew its apology to anyone who has suffered and to stress its commitment to the essential work of safeguarding across our parish community. It will be marked in our parish with liturgical celebration of the Holy Eucharist and Stations of the Cross.
Sacrament of Confirmation: Enrolment Mass
Enrolment Mass for the P7 schoolchildren preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation comes up on Sunday 8th March 2020. Time: 10.00am. Please keep these our children in your prayers, that this Sacrament may truly make them soldiers of Christ ready to defend their faith in season and out of season.
Lenten ‘SCIAF’ boxes

SPUC Pro-Life Mass Tuesday 25th 7pm St. Patrick’s Dumbarton 
The fight against abortion is not just about lobbying parliamentarians or educating the public at large on pro-life issues it is also a spiritual battle and the power of prayer is much needed in the fight. During 2020 there will be a service each month beginning at 6.30pm with Eucharistic adoration during which we will recite the rosary followed by Mass at 7pm with the specific intention of praying for the support of pro-life work and an end to abortion. 
Archdiocese of Glasgow Vocations Discernment Evenings:  Catechesis – Adoration – Fellowship

Beginning Experience
The Beginning Experience are holding a weekend for those who find themselves suffering bereavement through divorce, separation or widowhood.
