Parish Finance
Last weekend’s income was:
Offertory Collection: £438.00 & 2nd Collection: £251.00. Many thanks to our parishioners for your continuous financial help to the parish and to the Archdiocese especially last week’s second collection taken up in support of Ecclesiastical students of the Archdiocese of Glasgow. Much appreciated.
 
Age Concern Retirement night 3rd May.
Retirement night for Rose and Ann in St Martins Hall on 3rd May. Entertainment by Eileen, buffet and bar. Append names on list at the back of church.
 
Rosary on the Coast
Please see the notice on the noticeboards with details of the timetable for the Rosary on the Coast on 29th April. If you require further details please see Jennifer.
 
Hall Help!  
The hall provides a vital source of income which helps pay for maintenance work in the parish. It is important that we keep the hall open and I am therefore appealing for more people to come forward and help. Please speak to Fr Anthony or Margaret McCallion. “Many Hands make Light Work!”
 
First Holy Communion
Our parish Primary 4 schoolchildren will celebrate their first Holy Communion on Sunday 20th May at 10am Mass. Catechesis classes for children in preparation for that Sacrament will be on 5th and 12th May respectively in the church from 10.30am—12noon. Please remember these children in your prayers as they journey with us to the Lord’s Table.
 
May Devotion
May Devotion starts on Wednesday 2nd at 7.00pm. It holds every Monday and Wednesday each week It begins each day with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament—Rosary—Benediction.
 
ASL Mass
All children and young people with Additional Support Needs, their parents, families, carers, teachers and friends are invited to participate in Holy Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Tartaglia, on Monday 18th June at 7.00pm in Saint Andrew’s Cathedral.
 
Remembering Notre Dame’s Contribution to Catholic Education
You are invited to celebrate the feast of St Julie Billiart with the Notre Dame Community in Scotland at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall, 2049 Maryhill Road, G20 0AA, on Friday 11th May at 7.00 pm. Followed by refreshment.
 
Adult Faith Formation: Award in Catholic Theological Education
It is time again to invite applications for the course of formation in Parish Catechesis run in partnership with Glasgow University School of Education. This course might particularly appeal to those already engaged in catechetical work in the parish—in RCIA or with Children—or to someone involved in other aspects of parish life but who has an interest in broadening their responsibilities, perhaps in supporting liturgical ministers, young people or parents. The Catholic Nurses Guild of Scotland

Night at the Movies Concert for Shelter (Housing and Homeless Charity)
Students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland invite you to join them for an evening of film music from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and more on Saturday 12th May at 7:30pm in St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, Glasgow. Free admission with retiring collection in aid of housing and homeless charity ‘Shelter’ (20% of profits for St Andrew’s Restoration Fund).
 
Lectio Divina Dramatica
An evening of reflection upon the Word of God in sacred scripture through drama, imagination and prayerful reading. All are welcome. Meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
